Almost two decades ago, an Issaquah dental program set out to connect combat veterans with free dental care. Instead, it discovered a frayed community and a new purpose.
In 2017, Dr. Theresa Cheng sold her private dental practice of 22 years to establish Everyone for Veterans (E4V), a local nonprofit serving honorably discharged veterans and their families. The organization collaborates with dental professionals across the country to provide free dental care, resources and support.
