Issaquah commuters will soon have a new path to the region’s Link light rail network as Sound Transit launches Metro Route 556, a bus service that will increase frequency while ending the city’s direct connection to Seattle. 

The move comes amid a city push to keep Issaquah on the agency’s future 4 Line. Sound Transit said the new route is designed to mimic that future connection.
